FREIGHT TRAFFIC & TRACTION: 56302 returns to traffic for Colas while 56103 makes its comeback with DCR; DB Cargo’s last two operational Class 60s in action shortly before withdrawal; 37508 returns to the main line with Loram; D1015 Western Champion on a test run hauling GBRf’s Avonmouth-Penyffordd cement; GBRf’s 56098 & 59003 on hire to Colas; DRS’s 37422 & 37425 on a snowplough test run from Crewe to Carlisle; WCRC’s 37685 rescuing 60026 on the Tyne Dock-Drax biomass; 56094 working a ballast off Hoo Junction; 37800 hauling a rake of redundant IXA wagons to Gascoigne Wood for storage; large logo 56098 on various DCR aggregate workings; Rail Adventure power cars 43480 & 43468 leaving Shirebrook with a rake of 24 biomass hoppers; former DRS locos 37218 & 37407 make a quick return to the main line with new owners Europhoenix; GBRf’s 73128 receives Network South East livery...and 69009 emerges from the Eastleigh Arlington paintshop as Western Consort.
