There’s also extended coverage of the two final Class 56 railtours – the ‘Sarum Flyer’ and the ‘Twilight Grids’.

PLUS  ‘top & tail’ Res Class 47s on the Uckfield and Chingford branches, Network Rail’s 73 213 on Serco duties on the Shepperton branch, 31 106 ventures to the West Highlands with an inspection saloon, former Tinsley favourite 47 145 on Serco duties, 73 109 rescuing Wessex Class 31s after they ran out of fuel, TWO Class 67s on test hauling SIXTEEN Scotrail sleepers round the Hamilton Circle, Crompton’s return to the Meldon Quarry branch, six Spanish-bound Class 58s at Newport Docks, 57 601 on an inspection saloon in Suffolk. The usual strong selection of weird and wonderful locomotive workings. This series continues to be very collectable and the 90 minutes whizzed by.” TRACTION MAGAZINE
