the Traction series enters its tenth year, it’s business as usual!

Railfreight’s first Class 73 is released from Derby, 47 776 on the
Furzebrook LPG tanks, 09 020 on the WCML with limestone wagons from Shap
Quarry, 60 023 on a Derby-Brighton ‘Electrostar’ delivery, 37 669 + 37
695 on a Bescot-Ironbridge MGR, 47 843 visits Aberthaw cement works, Class
37s return to the West Country on china clay and Meldon ballast duties,
Heavy Haul 47/8’s on Thameslink EMU stock moves, the last ever Class 56
MGR working, 56 078 on Worksop MGR duties and on two departmental workings
on the former Southern Region and Class 58 loco 5111 working abroad in
Holland. There’s also extensive coverage of the run-down of EWS’ Class

Class 31-hauled passenger trains return to the North West, EWS
Class 47s finish for First North Western, ‘top & tail’ Class 37/4s
working to Merthyr Tydfil, 45 112 on Midland Main Line passenger duties,
Class 87s going into store at Bicester, 37 203 on the Rhymney-Cardiff,
Virgin’s 47 851 works an EWS charter train to Wales, Large Logo 47 635
is re-instated to work a Cardiff-York charter, 40 145 storming the South
Devon banks of Rattery and Dainton. There’s also extended coverage of
the two final Class 56 railtours – the ‘Sarum Flyer’ and the
‘Twilight Grids’.
