Class 37 Power
Having
been a familiar sight across much of Britains rail network for four decades, the Class 37s are now in rapid decline. This
programme features their operations during one of their most interesting
periods - the five
years between 1987 and 1992. Margams Area Engineer explains the
technical variations of the fleet before taking us on a nationwide tour
of the British Isles to view the class hard at work. No fewer than 110 different members of the class -
including all the sub-class variations - are featured at work on a
superb variety of duties, most of which are now in the dim and distant
past.
