Over the last 25 years we have been fortunate enough to
accumulate a large library of footage featuring loco
classes and countless workings that no longer exist. In terms of
variety, today's railway scene is a shadow of what it once was and a
quick glance through our tape logs reveals that what was once an
everyday sight is now just a distant memory. And it's not
just the locos and the workings that have long gone - so has much of the
railway infrastructure like semaphore signals, manual signal boxes and gated
crossings....not to mention the noticeable absence of metal fencing that
now blights much of the lineside of our national network. So now is a
good time to start delving into the Locomaster archives.
The first programmes to feature our archive footage will be titled
FREIGHT NO MORE, a 2-parter featuring freight workings that no longer
exist. Part 1 is available now with Part 2 due for release in
spring 2011.
